The problem

Every Saturday starts with forty open tabs, three group chats and a camp that filled up yesterday.

PlayLoop puts what’s on near you in one place, by age and day — and keeps what you saved exactly where you left it.

  2. 02Permissions you can seeEvery table is locked by Postgres Row Level Security. Nine checks try the forbidden things as real roles — and must be refused.See the checks

From a provider’s listing to your Saturday.

Try each role

Steps:

  1. 1Provider lists “Clay Creatures, ages 6–9” — it goes in for review, not live.
  2. 2Founder checks the listing and approves it from the moderation queue.
  3. 3Parent filters Saturday + age 6 and finds it on Discover.
  4. 4Parent saves it to “Saturday mornings”. Only they can see that list.

The real screens

PlayLoop’s Discover screen: day strip, category filters and activity cards
  1. 1Day firstParents plan by day, so the week strip sits right under the title.
  2. 2Colour = categoryCamps are peach, outdoor is mint — recognised before it’s read.
  3. 3One tap to saveThe heart opens your lists; new lists are made on the spot.

Four people, one loop

“I used to plan Saturdays across forty tabs and three group chats. Now it’s one list, and the camp is still there when I get back to it.”

Questions parents ask

Who can see my saved lists?

Only you. The database itself refuses every other account — another parent, a provider, even the founder’s screens — and a check proves it on every run.

Who checks the activities?

Every new listing, and every edit to a live one, waits in the founder’s moderation queue. Providers can’t publish their own listings.

Is it free for parents?

Yes. Browsing, filtering and saving are free; you only pay the provider for the activity itself.

How do providers join?

They sign up, list an activity, and it goes live once the founder approves it — usually the same day.

What happens to my data?

Your email and password are never readable by the app’s own database roles. Lists and saves belong to your account and are deleted with it.
